the trigger for the stun portion is a pressure switch in the vertical foregrip, not likely to get those confuzed, if you do then you shouldn't be playing w/ an AR anyway.

As long as the operator is not touching metal, theory is nothing at all.

If the operator is touching metal: a very good possibility is lights out, while ammo is cooking off.

still, you need to muzzle stroke the target and last I heard, this was a no no for LEOs. In the army, we have something similar, It is called a bayonet. But in reality, bayonets have little use on todays battlefield. For the weight, it is better to carry an extra mag. God help you if you have to go to a "lethal action AAR" and have to explain why you bayoneted a man. BTW, I bet those taser tips would be bent and broke after one mission. Cool in theory, fail in reality.

Carrying an AR doesn't assume that you DO want to, or are capable of it. It merely suggests a mechanical ability to do so quickly and efficiently. Remember, assault is a crime, NOT a weapon.

Author seems to exhibit some anti-taser (and possibly anti-gun) bias, but I could see it being an interesting addition to a home owner's self-defense carbine. They'd need to integrate a flashlight and laser into the taser, though.
