It varies by local jurisdiction.
I know Baltimore County and City has made them illegal. I believe they are illegal in Ocean City as well but not sure about the county.

Search for threads about Tasers here. Several of us worked hard, and were successful getting laws changed to make Tasers legal again in some jurisdictions where previously illegal. For the average law abiding citizen, if you can't legally carry a gun for self defense; a taser is probably your next best option. Legal most everywhere in Maryland. I believe AACO and Harford Co it's now legal again. Still illegal in Baltimore, Annapolis, Howard Co, and a couple others.
Tasers are not protected by state preemption like guns are; meaning they can be regulated differently by jurisdiction. Check your county/city laws.
