surefire x400 sight in problem

trying to zero in a x400 on my BIL's rifle and i can't get the laser any further to the right. its mounted the same way mine is and i've tried using the extra screws but while turning both i can go up and down/left but cant get it any further to the right. any tips or suggestions or should i contact surefire?

(btw using a sight mark casing laser and gun vise in backyard)

good point, bil just put crappy utg 4 way rail and didn't know about the handgaurd removal tool.... i'll have to look at that tonight when i get home.

at 25 yards there is a 7" difference.

well there goes your chance with kim i will bring it by tomorrow when i do some paperwork if you don't mind taking a look at the rail to see if he did a hack job. pretty sad to see something you put together get junked up with crappy parts. drop a few hundred on a laser but get the cheapest rail you can find and gorilla press it on.
