Well what do you mean by "crushing the wallet"? We just sold out of Cetme's this week at $499.95. If you can afford $950.00 more, we do have a few Spfld M1A's in stock.

There are a few Garands chambered in .308 floating around also, but are pretty pricey.

Did you see the video that someone posted in the rifle section about tearing that gun down? I think it would be easier to be drunk and tear down a 2010 automobile engine and tranny than field strip that rifle.

My #1 choice- FAL. #2, PTR91. I do not trust the angry beavers at Century.

What about LR308, I dont particularly like the thump on the shoulder and the AP4 upper I have but once I get it reconfigured with a PRS stock I think it will be just dandy.

    Super reliable and accurate.

Long term I am going to order a new 24" custom DPMS upper after I get my safe paid off.

I paid less than $500 for my Saiga 308. For less than $250, I'm converting it to a bitchin' looking AK47. It's no long range "reach out and touch" weapon but a real decent carbine.

Cant beat a Saiga, I ended up with a Valmet for a few bucks (but not many more) its balls accurate.
