    Response received yesterday morning.

I guess this means we go to the next level.

Unbelievable. A short barreled rifle is a rifle. It's also a handgun. It's also the F'ing kitchen sink.

"A short barreled rifle is whatever we say it is to suit our needs"
    Sincerely,

Wow, they are double talk experts. Since it's called a "short barreled rifle", therefore it a rifle.

What if it didn't have a stock (therefore not designed to be fired from the shoulder) and we named it a long barreled handgun? At what length does a barrel cease to be a handgun and become a SBR?

Keep up the good work. They are counting on you giving up with those idiotic and invalid responses. Glad I made my AR purchases through you and will continue to support your business.

What a joke. It's basically, "we're calling them whatever we need to call them to make sure they're banned"

No way that holds up in court.

No worries guys. I will keep you guys informed as we proceed. I don't think the 29" will hold up in court either but I really would have preferred to avoid something like that. They can't have their cake and eat it too.

Thank you for taking this on. Their "interpretation", and enforcement, of SBR firearms is appealing and an injustice of staggering proportion. While I was saddened (yet not shocked in the least) to read their response, I think a legal win is far more powerful than them acquiescing the point in an official memo. A legal win here would yield another tool, in our legal toolbox, that we can leverage in other cases to claw back our rights.

I will stop by this weekend to purchase something from you guys. Do you have a legal fund donation jar in your shop?
