I like the rules: Cheap steel cased ammo, iron sights, winner gets bragging rights.

Hmm... I can barely keep my shots within a 3 inch group at 50 yds, but I can occasionally get pretty lucky. Just say when & where.

At the age some of us are now, the positions we shoot from should be:

    • PRONE - with assistance getting up (and maybe down).
    • SEATED - not "sitting" ... seated at a bench ... with or without pizza.
    • OFFHAND - has nothing to do with shooting positions, but applies only to comments.

    I'm in.

Could be an informal thing at AGC. Just agree on a day and go. Would have to be members of course, unless we share benches.

One last thing I thought of....

There is steel case that is bi metal jacket, and steel case that is copper jacket. I'm guessing we are going bi metal?

I'd do this. My AGC membership is expired though
Md rifle club runs C&R matches that are all slow fire. Prone, sitting/kneeling & offhand. Maybe something like that.

    I like it
    I say all off hand
We can do 25 yards if needed for some or do what they do for the muzzle loader shoot
    Some 50 the some 25

This sounds like a fun idea.

As does this. Are the matches just for accuracy on paper?

Yes. I don't want to speak for OP though. Just shoot an SR target at 200y or an SR1 at 100. Just a fun match for bragging rights.

I meant specifically the C&R matches that you mentioned, it seemed like you had participated. I'm interested either way though.

Sorry. Misunderstood. The C&R matches I participated in were shot at 200y on SR target. Top score wins. In the past they've charged $5 ( iirc) and winner won some portion of the pot. Don't count on that though.
