I've been trying to get a threaded barrel for my P229 .22 classic with a 9mm conversion kit, and not having any luck with Sig customer service.

First I ordered the barrel from the website and when it arrived it couldn't be installed in the gun. It appeared the feed ramp was hitting the frame. Called Sig and was told the part I ordered (the only one available from the website) was wrong and they'd exchange for the right one. At this time I also explained that my gun was a P229 .22 classic with conversion kit just in case it made a difference. I was assured it didn't.

So three months later (not impressed with Sig's customer service) I have my second replacement barrel. It doesn't fit either. It appears to be the same issue, but not as bad as the first barrel.

I'm looking for suggestions. Should I suggest to Sig that I just send them the gun so they might get it right on attempt three? Or should I just give up on Sig and see if a local gunsmith might be able to make the barrel I have work?

At this rate I'll may get the tax stamp for the suppressor before I get the threaded barrel. Fortunately the P229 isn't the only host I have in mind.
