    2014 OKC-3S, 1944 Ka-bar...amazing how little things change in 70 years.

I want the OKC-3S as well. How do you like it?

This is a little different than the type of knives that I usually go for, but I like it so far. One of two Laguiole style knives that I am expecting this week.

Custom fixed blade in 1095 steel. Made by a member on Bladeforums. He also made the leather sheathe.

Two new additions: the new Bark River Bravo Vortex, and another Laguiole.

I grabbed the Bravo Vortex because I just added a wood-burning stove to my camping gear and I was looking for something with some backbone to process wood. At 0.217" thick, this knife definitely has a backbone.

The Laguiole is a slightly different style than my other one. This one has a lockback and a thumb loop, rather than the traditional slipjoint. I think the curly walnut looks good with the stainless trim.

Here's some of my latest finds. The machetes and the 150-200 year old tomahawk came from yard sales, all 3 for less than $20.
The damascus knife at the bottom left uses 1911 grips on the handle.

Couple of my Spydercos. PM2 and Stretch in ZDP-189. Unfortunately my new Delica 4 is back at Spyderco for warranty work.

    It's realllll nice.

That said, for what it is, it's very Crocodile Dundee ("That's not a knife...the OKC-3S is a knife"). I like it, but I like the Ka-bar more. That might just be because there's more history on the Ka-bar, but I'm a little snobby that way so don't take that as a negative on the 3S.

I understand. Something about a Kabar just screams badass knife. That being said, I would like the Ontario because I could put it on the end of my SP1. Not that i would ever actually leave it on there, but it would be cool to have the option.

Well boys had to get another one. This time I went with the pearl handle. It feels more classy classic to me. My next one will be regular black because for some reason I think I should have been born a 50s greaser.

I have an identical knife. In fact, every one I go to Daytona bike week I buy a new switchblade.

They sell them at the Cabbage Patch campground for $30 a piece.
