    after sb 281.

I read a lot of different opinions and some law with strike throughs.

Last time I shipped a colt back, pre 281, it was from me to Colt and from Colt back to me, no ffl.

I assume it's still the same way as long as it going to a smith that IS an ffl? I would be using FedEx to ship.

Thanks all, all the info I read is pre sb281, so far. Dam laws...

I wouldn't.....All it will take is that gunsmith FFL to get a wire in his ass about sb281 and you'll be screwed. If its and AR just send the upper.

I'm still looking for an answer on this too. There's a fair amount of information prior to SB281. I'll post in the 2A issues section.

Just check with the factory or gunsmith before you ship it to them, but it should be OK. Federal law allows it and nothing in 281 changed it.

It it's your gun, registered to you, and you are the one receiving it on the back end, I see no issues there.

Can you go through a gunshop in PA, DE, VA, or WV whichever is closest. Have them ship it out and receive it back. In their bound book from you, out of their bound book to you.

    Good luck
