    Ive always been suspicious of raffles on a personal level, so I dont know whether or not I would want to run one.

    While it might raise more money, selling a ton of tickets would be highly intensive and could backfire if we dont sell enough.

    I've seen raffles, particularly fundraiser ones, that have a set number of tickets or a minimum number of tickets and the drawing is done until that number of tickets are sold. Maybe put somewhere on your website a tracker that updates once a day or once a week the number of tickets sold. Then once you hit the magic number give it a week or two and draw a winner.
