    hi guys,

I am selling a long gun I got a few weeks ago face-to-face today and just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything special I need to do? (like get a bill of sale and send it anywhere, etc. etc.)

It is NOT a regulated firearm and was transferred to me at my FFL as a cash and carry long gun.

    Thanks guys! :)

    got it, best advice is:

You can sell non-regulated long guns to other Maryland residents, provided they are not prohibited from owning firearms.

It's best for you both to complete a bill of sale, in which the buyer declares he's not prohibited, and in which the seller declares he's the rightful owner of the firearm being sold, etc.

Here's a DOC file of a sample bill of sale, this is the one I use, it's based on the original by sbarber:

Nick, before you do this, you might want to double-check the guy is clean, here:

...I used this (thanks again Novus!) a while back and found out somebody I knew had a really nasty felony on his record (he wasn't someone I was contemplating selling a gun too... nevertheless the felony conviction was a BIG surprise).

    Better safe, than sorry.
