Glad to see there's a few of us here on this site. Unfortunately for me, I was a couple of years short for LEOSA and I regret it.
FWIW, even without the LEOSA amendment, MSP would, based on my experience in the licensing process (depends on who you get I'm sure) grant you the "former law enforcement" reason for getting a permit. Apply within 5 years of separation/retirement and get a license good for 1 year for every year you were in.
