When someone sues the State in cases such as SB1, does Moore have to show up in court? I'm wondering because IMHO, if you signed the law and you get sued over the law, you (Moore in this case) should be required to show up in court with your attorney (State AG in this case). Not sure if it would work, but I feel, at least sensible Governors, wouldn't sign things into law, if they feel they have to defend it with their own time.
If you get a speeding ticket in Maryland, you can hire a lawyer and not show up to the court.

That's really good news. I wonder if they already know they're going to loose?

I think they got what they wanted.. They knew they wouldn't get everything that was passed, but it looks good to their constituents. And being that they got more than what was on the books before is bad for us. They're probably hoping we back off too and what's not in is what sticks.

IMHO, they need to be spanked for what they've done with unconstitutional SB1. I feel/hope when this is all said and done, we would be in a better place than before SB1.. Because I'd love to be able to carry in parks and rest areas.

FYI, per COMAR, you should be OK in rest areas if concealed. COMAR only references a prohibition on “display” of firearm. How SB1’s government building provision affects this, I am not sure.
