I finally had a chance to take my son shooting with his Savage Rascal .22 single shot bolt action rifle. He simply loves his rifle. Once we had it sighted in he was just hitting shot after shot. It fits him perfectly and the single shot helps with learning proper shooting mechanics. The peep sight is easy to use and easily adjustable but also has provisions for a scope. If anyone is considering a youth rifle I recommend this over all out there. Received a lower than suggested MSRP when I purchased this from Thunderstick Enterprise. It also cocks just like an adult centerfire rifle without a plunger used on rifles like the Crickett. Plus the trigger does not need to be touched to unload a live round from the chamber. Decent little rifle all around. He has the synthetic model but the wooden version is also available for few more dollars. Both come with the easily adjustable accu-trigger.
