I thought I read .38 LC which I thought odd (see below), but on second look it's .32 S&W Long. I frame?
If it were .38 LC, Smith would stamp "US Service Ctg." on the barrel. On the early .38 Specials (which can shoot .38 LC), they were stamped "38 S&W Special CTG or US Service CTG." Smith hated giving Colt free advertising
There was no way they'd include the letters C-O-L-T on one of their rollmarks.

It is hard to say for sure, not knowing the scale of the pattern on the pillow. Judging by the porportions of frame and forcing cone is probably an I frame, but there were a few M&Ps made in .32 long also .

Pistol says *32 LONG CTG*. It chambers a .32 long.
