I finally got my Grandfather to show me his "wife's" revolvers. They were originally his "wife's" husbands and she got them when he died. He was a judge and had mob connections. They were both purchased in 1952 and I have the bills of sale which is nothing more than scribbles on paper, in NJ. Both serial numbers are intact. I am trying to buy them from her or get a value for her to sell them. I know nothing about revolvers but both cylinders rotated nice and have very little wiggle once locked in place
First is a ~1951 S&W K38 combat masterpiece. Its not in the best condition and its nickeled, not sure if factory. SN is K117XXX . Im thinking its worth around $300 ?
Next is a Rohm RG63, made in Germany. When I took it out of the holster it was loaded, which means its been loaded since about 1985. Its .22lr and in good condition. The SN is at the bottom of the grip and intact I didnt bother to write it down. Im thinking its worth about $30.
