S&W 5946

If anyone is a fan of the 5900 series 9mm, Cabelas is selling brand new 5946's for $599.99. These guns have been out of production for 15 years but S&W had a number they were sitting on as part of a NYPD contract. They sold them all to Cabelas. New in the box. Comes with 3 S&W mags and Novak night sights. I have a 5906 and love it. It's all stainless and a heavy beast but is beautiful and extremely accurate. Get a piece of history.

I have a 459 way back and loved it! never handled one of the newer version but I'd bet just as nice.

Ooh, I'll have to see if I can get one. I have a 5903 and love it. Always wanted one of the stainless DAO ones. You can do pull-ups on the trigger and it won't budge.

I have two 6946s. They appeared almost new when I bought them at $299 ea. I think $599 is a bit much. I do like them, but I would prefer SA/DA instead of DAO.

Heavy gun, heavier trigger. That said it's built like a tank. Used ones are easily found under $400 though.

New In Box, I think 599 is a good price.

Numrich has all the springs for them.

They have to be some of the softest shooting 9mms out there. Lots of weight to absorb the recoil.

Agree with Traveller. Hell of a price for a gun that's been out of production all these years. It can double as an impact weapon too!
