I finally picked up my RIA1911 from Manchester's last night. I paid for it back in January, but Wayne ended up going to Aruba for vacation...so I had to wait until yesterday to pick it up.

I'm very happy with my first 1911 purchase. I have some minor plans for it.

these are assault 1911s and should be banned. they're black and I am sure they were purchased through the gun show loophole.

Since I would hate to see any of you get in trouble with the police I will gladly keep them for safe storage.

love my 38 super Rock, best 1911 for the money around. It is also about the closest thing to a "real" 1911 still around, no pin safeties, no frills, no BS. The only "problem" is that they use cast frames, and 10mm or 460rowland kits are too much for them to handle.

Damn, You EVEN Got MDShooters on your Grips :)

    I love that ...

AKbythebay did a small group buy for them a while ago, they are machined aluminum, and heavy as hell, really helps to soak up recoil, I guess the plastic pistol crew will have to do a group buy on logo'ed skateboard tape:D

What kind of mags work good in the RIAs?

In all honesty, the cast frame didn't make that much of a difference to me. If it will handle .45ACP, then that is all that matters to me.

most of the Rocks i've seen are not that picky, chip McCormick and Mec-gar don't cost a lot, and are reliable in mine.

I'll order a Wilson and a Chip McCormick to see which one works better.

*looks at triggers, hammers, sights, and grip safeties*
