Has anyone brought a rifle kit from daytona tactical or ground zero percision? I'm looking to build a 300 blackout rifle. Haven't seen any reviews on either one of them.

Always search on ar15.com whenever considering an unknown vendor. Many bad ones open, close, and reopen under new names frequently. Daytona is one of them.

I just came to that conclusion. Thanks Outrider58. Any suggestions on some good parts for 300 blackout ?

Standard AR15 LPK, standard AR15 buffer tube kit, standard AR15 stock, standard AR15 lower, standard AR15 upper, standard AR15 gas block, standard AR15 fore end. Then buy the barrel of your choice and the 30 cal muzzle device you want.

Thanks, I just read the odd yet poor reviews. I think I'll just look on palmetto state for a complete upper.

Pick your lower(price seems to be the determining factor here)...
    Barrel-$200-$300(for a good one)
    Upper-$90 or so
    Bolt-$100-$160
    FCG-$100-$250
Stock, action spring & tube, maybe $200 max depending on the gun you're building.
Fore end/rail- again, depending on what you have in mind-the longer, the more expensive within any company...$150-$350
Then, you have the incidentals: back-up sights, grips, fore grips, etc., that can run another $200+all together.

You said good parts so I hope that gives you an idea of costs. I'm in the midst of a 300Blk build myself so...

Before you do that, I suggest you check out some links.

The second link has the parts list for the one I built. You will be able to get the stuff on it that you want, if you build it yourself. I would recommend staying away from PSA for a complete upper. Just build it yourself.

EDIT: BTW, where are you located? If it is near by, I'd be willing to help you build your upper and lower.

I priced out a 300BLK build for another member here, using quality parts here's the pricing I came up with (minus hand-guard/rail, muzzle device) -

10.5" upper (no hg/rail, muzzle device): $479.78 - Non blem BCM upper assy.
12.5" upper (no hg/rail, muzzle device): $429.48 - Non blem BCM upper assy.

    10.5" upper (" "): $457.47 - blem BCM upper assy.
    12.5" upper (" "): $407.47 - blem BCM upper assy.

Again, that's pre-shipping/sales tax and minus the hand-guard/rail, muzzle device. For not much more, you know where every component is sourced from, and you know it should work well as long as a drunk monkey doesn't put it together for you...

How is a bolt set up for 300 Black? I thought the draw was all the same components as 5.56. Not doubting you, just never heard this before.

    LOL...

outrider and I were meeting up for something on the 29th.

I'd be willing to link up with you at another date, so you could check it out with your eyes, but in the links I posted, there is a pic of the one I built.

Is there a specific type of barrel or basic barrel to look for? Is $500 to cheap of a budget for the upper( upper, rails, barrel and flash hider). I already have a lower.

I built my upper for 500-600 as it is in the pic, minus the optic. Adding in the optic added another 250ish, for the P.E.P.R. Mount and the Vortex Crossfire II. If you wait till around Black Friday, you should be able to get a good deal on a 300BLK barrel. I picked my barrel up on Black Friday 2014 for $134, as did some other members on here.

As for the fore end, what kind of fore end do you want? Do you want a a free float, a quad rail, a FF quad rail, a FF keymod like mine? What you want will dictate how much the for end will be. The flash hider I have set me back 25-35 bucks, so it wasn't too bad.

Buy this upper now, while it is on sale for 65 bucks. It is the one that I have on my 300 and I have mine laser etched with the caliber. It also comes with the forward assist and dust cover pre-installed, so that is a UPK that you won't have to get.

You can get a BCG from AimSurplus for around 80-90 bucks.

Get the CH you want, but because mine is a Bambi Slayer, I went with a AXTS Raptor.

    EDIT: Added links to barrels.

Budget and performance/accuracy expectations are going to dictate your barrel selection and the end cost. I'd recommend sticking with pistol-length gas on whatever barrel you choose, seems to be less fine tuning vs. a carbine-length gas in 300BLK, especially if you ever want to shoot subsonics.

There are some great barrels that won't rape your budget.
