Besides the caliber, the 19 has white outline, red post sights, in every other way they are twins.

The K-22 is one of my favorite guns to shoot.

Me too, I took it for a spin at On Target last night:cool::cool:....using a B-34 Silhouette @ 25' shot a 241/250 on 5 pt. scoring. I want to change out the sights like the Mod 19, my old eyes aren't that great on all black sights anymore!!:envy:

I painted mine orange with a little model paint - much better in poor lighting (like On Target) and easily removable is I decide..

Thanks, I was wondering how well that would work!!!

I have found an exact replacement White Outline Rear Sight, but I was wondering about the front site....that's an easy fix!!

    Yeah, it's easy.

You can't tell from the photo, but it's very bright orange. I painted one coat of Testor's flat white model paint. Then 2 coats of Testor's fluorescent orange. It seems to hold up well. I just left the rear sights all black, but a white outline like you mentioned would be nice.

Seems like I am on a Ruger kick, except for the Cody at the bottom. Hope to add a Smith 625 45ACP or a 325 Thunder Ranch soon.

Nice.....there's an interesting story about the 25. It starred as a Model 29 in the first "Dirty Harry" movie. A Model 29 wasn't available at the time, and since they look identical from a distance, the Model 25 played a Model 29 in the movie.

In subsequent films, the Model 29 played itself.

I love My 25 and the .45 Colt is a lot of fun along with .45 Scofield !

Here is another of my recent pocket pick-ups. This is a Smith & Wesson Model 60--dressed up with the Tyler Grip--that was bought in Eureka Colorado in 1977 by one of our forum members here.

He was a rookie cop and purchased it as his BUG on duty. The hammer was bobbed by the gun shop sometime before he purchased it from the dealer-- who catered mostly to cops.

The seller thought it might've been bobbed by the factory but the research shows that was not possible. Smith and Wesson bobbed hammers at the factory for only a very few model 60s, and that did not happen until years after this gun was produced.

The other confirmation about the bobbed hammer on mine is that Smith & Wesson, after grinding down the hammer, converted their special order pistols to double action ONLY for liability reasons. This pistol, though, retains its SA/DA status--confirming that it was the cop shop that did the operation on it.

Apparently only a few thousand model 60s had factory-bobbed hammers. The logs show they primarily went to the Japanese police and to the New York City Police Department.
