7.5" Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag or .41 Mag. They make a hunting version that's easy to mount a scope on. If you're thinking 100 yards, a scope is almost mandatory.

I had a Super Blackhawk Hunter in .44mag. It was a tack driving hand cannon.

Depending on your budget, I absolutely love my S&W 460 in the 10.5" barrel with a compensator. It has no problem getting out past 100 yds with a scope and it also shoots 454 casull and 45 LC

44 mag with 10 in barrel? Swappable with 2, 4, 6 or 8 in barrels? YES PLEASE.

I currently have the 6, 8 and 10 in barrels. If you can find one, get it.

Ruger Redhawk stainless in 44 Mag, I killed a deer 2 years ago with mine..... 1 shot clean kill. The thrill of killing my first buck came back to me after using my revolver. Really cool.

I've hunted with S&W M29s, Ruger SRHs, and SBHs. The SBHs get the nod for the best combination of strength, accuracy, and weight. If money is not an object, go with Freedom Arms and never look back.
