I am looking for the best step by step process for reloading military rifle brass. I know what the steps are, but what is the best order to do them in. After cleaning the brass. Should I run the brass through the 650 like it was a single stage press, doing the decapping/resizing. I also have an old hornady dies, and a single stage press. The Hornady process will decap but not resize, as per the case gage. The cases need to then be swaged and trimmed. I have the Dillon swager, and an old RCBS trimmer. I am hoping that someone sees something that I am not. Does this all make sense?

    My process

This is the method I use:
    1) tumble brass
    2) Lube brass then decap and resize on single stage press
    3) Trim brass
    4) swage brass
    5) reload on Dillon 650 with no die in #1 station

    Good luck

After cases are deprimed, the primer pocket should be deburred since military primers are swagged, this process is done only once. Clean the primer pocket, tumbling won't do an adequate job of cleaning pockets.

    Good luck :)
