    Unless there is another Sandy Hook, this bill is dead in the current Congress. Time is not on their side. If they could have passed it, they would have already done so. They will not gain any more votes (again unless there is another mass shooting) so Reid's switch which technically allows him to bring it back to the floor is just procedural. In practice it won't happen.

    The Boston bombers used "Assault Rifles" against the police.
    Give it no more than a day or two until this is used for political gain in order to

    Exactly my response when I woke up today and heard about the shoot out in the middle of the night... Immediately thought here it is. The turn back to gun discussions. I can hear the whirrrrrr o the spin machine all the way up in NY right nowl
