That gun put a smile on everyones face... except for anyone within 20 yards to the right that is getting pelted by hot cases. :lol2:

i do want my own private range so bad!

Well, I'd feel safe saying....You and at LEAST EVERY OTHER GUY on here would like to have their own range...hahahhaahaha :-) I used to have so much fun shooting tin cans, jugs, all kinds of stuff on open property. Rapid fire, double taps......range's are usually boring to me now.......:sad20:

I always drool over the 54R Vepr when I see them. I really want one. But at dang near 900 bucks........ I dunno.

I know, it was hard for me but the cartridge was the key for me, knowing the ammo is dirt cheap still right now, I bough the gun then ran out and bought 5 cases more to add to my stash.

    Warning on the 54R Mags...

    Molot mags work fine.

SGM Mags... if you have a 10 round mag, load 8 and so forth, the springs are soooo strong it keeps the mags from working correct. I actually decided yesterday to load the mags and leave them loaded for a bit, hoping next time out the spring is a little weaker/ broken in.

They make a drum for it.. But.. No one ever seems to have it.

That's another thing.... 5 round mags seem like a tease. 10 is better, but I would want at least 15!

I wish Saiga had made a 54R. I got a 7.62x39 and LOVE it, and it was 299.99 3-4 years ago.

Also remember these are single stack mags.. the bigger you go it will start looking like a 40 round mag in a Ak
