If any one is going to the auction on Sunday please post the bid.
It may go low due to the colors and none of the good old boys would want to bid on this. It could be a good buy if it sold low and later the stock is replaced. Maybe not!

There's 3 modified Garands in thAt auction. All 3 say they are modified for match shooting. That hra and another SA are 308. Looks like the third one is a SA that's still 30.06, but has a glass bedded barrel and action along with a custom trigger. They actually call the stock on the one in the op "patriotic".

Excuse me while I go puke.

Its not rainbow. Its red, white, and blue. Is this how some of you guys see the American flag?

I like it. For competition a laminated stock is better then a solid wood one. Its just a stock so why not have some fun w/ it vs a boring brown laminate that blends in w/ everyone elses. IIRC Anschutz, Kimber, Ruger, NRA, etc have all had competition guns (or guns w/ that help sponsor a USA team) with similar red/white/blue laminate. I suspect its not all that out of place at somewhere like camp perry.
