My son bought an M&P 9mm... seemed like junk. I love all of my babies :party29:
What was wrong with it? I have the 45 and it's nice (even comes with night sights), except for that damn lever thing inside that you're supposed to use for takedown. Screw that lever! Simple solution is to just pull the trigger as you pull the slide forward during takedown.

I've never had a bad thing to say about my .40, or my son's .45

Solid, reliable... but yeah... the lever is a pain.

    Building AR's

They were fun and easy to build but didnt really do anythign for me once they were complete.

And hopefully you'll never need them to "do anything" for you......but if the need should ever present itself its a good tool to have

Agreed. That's why I'm curious if there was a particular reason he didn't like it. Just about everyone seem to love the M&P handguns. They're like a more modern glock.

Anything in 9 or 40 category would fall into the regret bucket ;)
Never tried a full size HK USP in 40S&W I take it?

I'm the same way. It's much more fun to configure and build the things than use them in my opinion. It's like playing with lego's.

I had a spur of the moment decision at a gun show to pick up a S&W AR in .300 whisper...now that I'm trying to limit my purchases to a few calibers it really doesn't fit the collection any longer. I suppose that's what GunBrokers is for....

As a runner up I have another S&W M&P - this time in .22. Dealer never sent the gun and now, after fighting with them for 4 months, seem to have closed the shop. So purchased, yes; delivered, no. I suppose that's what small claims courts are for...
