It's been awhile, but when I first got mine I had some problem, probably similar.
The fix was to push out the sear pin and it freed things up enough to remove the main spring housing (the 1st step to disassembly)
I think it had to do with the hammer position during reassembly, which is most often the cause of trouble.
Like I said, it's been awhile, by I definitely remember being at a stopping point and after removing the sear pin I was able to get back in action.
But rest assured, I can take it apart and reassemble in about 2 min with no trouble after some practice.
Once you get comfortable remove the mag disconnect and it gets even easier with a nicer trigger.
    Hope this helps.

Pistol is partially cocked. Try this:

The other method is (with the mag installed) to pull and hold the trigger back, turn the pistol upside down, and tap the top of the gun (while the gun is upside down) on a piece of wood.

For what it's worth I had no end of problems when I first got my 22/45 putting it back together. Took me a while before I got comfortable doing it.

I did the same thing once.

    Go by the manual!!!

I have messed up when it comes pont up and point down parts.

Now I have the tandemkross bushing and now have done this many times.

I dont mess up as much.

I ended up having to do this the first time I took mine apart.
