Pistol Buffer used on rifle

With all of this SB281, it does not appear that a pistol build I am working on is something I should continue on. With that said, I currently have a Phase 5 pistol buffer tube and assembly. And a pistol buffer be used if/when I convert to a rifle ?

Why not continue with your pistol build? If you have it in your possession before 1 Oct. 2013 your AR pistol will be considered a CopyCat weapon and be completely legal to own.
