I wonder how many people realize that the term "Johnson" dates back to rogue American boxer, Jack Johnson? He was a black heavyweight champ who had a fondness for fast cars and women of all colors ... and was reputedly far more than well equipped.

A large artillery piece used in WWI was nicknamed, "Jack Johnson" by the American troops.
