Looking for some history on a box of ammo marked as:
    250 CAL.30 CARTRIDGES
    LINKED BLANK M1909
    LOT LC L 13097

It was in the basement of an old-timer friend who passed away. I know he was in Germany during WWII, but apparently he was also at Ft. Belvoir later so not sure when he got this.

Looks like Pig Blanks ( M60 ) hard to see on my phone.
The M60 link is a push thought link, and the 1919 is a pull out link

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like the head stamp says either LC or LO 61, kind of hard to read.

The LC headstamp (Lake City as Threeband mentioned) matches the LC lot code on the can. Unfortunately, the old lot designation system didn't include month/year, but obviously it's 1961 from the headstamp.

Interestingly enough, M1909 (DODIC A222) is still actively ordered by the Army and manufactured by Lake City to supply the ceremonial Garands. It's the only .30 caliber round listed in ATK's (current Lake City operator) ammunition line card.
