I'm planning to go to both but the one in March is the 2000 table one. Last time I went there was a serious amount of good stuff there

Concur. I've never been disappointed at an Oaks show. I'm waiting for the March 27-29 show. Fridays are always a good day to go.

Oaks and Chantilly are the same weekend this month, so I'll hit Chantilly. It's the 2,000 table Oaks Extravaganza that will get me up there in March.

Rockville to Phoenixville is a tough call to make on something like that. It's not terribly far over the MD line but there will you will see a lot of New Jersey and Delaware advertising vendors, organizations, etc. Difficult to guess if a PA dealer at that show will know MD law in it's current form.

I remember walking down an aisle and seeing a group of people dispersing from a table real fast and the guy running the cash register yelling real loud "No New Jersey sales" at least half a dozen times. He looked irritated.

It was a decent show, was there about three hours today. Plenty of C$R stuff at prices which I seldom agreed with ($450 for a run-of-the-mill SKS, come on). Laugh of the day was at the table run by Fabulous Firearms where I looked at a used Mini-14 which was marked at $1275. When I asked why the guy behind the desk said "well its marked LEO and you can't get those any more so its worth more". Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

If I went by myself I probably wouldn't have a good time at shows anymore. It's really becoming boring to me to go to these besides the chance to barter normal capacity mags between vendors, and get like a $10-20 cheaper price on 1000 rounds of ammo versus going to a gun shop.

197 miles and burned 1/4 tank of fuel going to Oaks, and stopping at Targetmaster on the way home. Cost of lunch, fuel, entry I think for a next adventure we're going to be more interested in running to a shop like Trop, then swinging by Cabela's in DE and then hit home, and not bother with the shows.

I was not far from the show and time to kill today while away at a Kids Tournament.
Nothing specific that I was hunting for. I did pick up some reloading powder and primers as well as an oddball magazine for an old Mauser Pocket Pistol. They had some various pistol powders there.

I stopped by Cabelas for some pmags. If I were to have picked a show, I probably would have gone to Chantilly, but I was already near here.

Best quote from Oaks I heard was "The guns that sell the most are those machine gun looking ones" said a guy walking around with what I guess was his family. There was a golf show the same day, guess he was from there.

The other things I got laughs was a vendor wearing a drop leg short barrel shotgun rig of some sort. Another vendor had all the stuff, cool looking instructor belt, spare mags, holstered 1911 with no mag in it. Why?

I will say I'm jealous it wasn't me, but I didn't get a short haircut or shave my face so I wouldn't have looked half the part yesterday.

One training vendor had a looped video of their stuff, guys in a Dodge 4 door truck hanging out the window "engaging" targets. Looked like a good way to get shot to me.

Yes, phoenixville, the casino is offering $85 nights for the show. Fyi...not all vendors will sell to md residents. Last year, It took me the better part of 3 hours to find one that 1) had the 15-22 I wanted & 2) to sell to md resident.
Found a guy selling new 5.11 rush packs at a good discount. I'll be going with the missus. I'll have the osprey orange pack with a seahawks cap, introduce yourself.

Pretty sure I'm going again this year. Friday afternoon = powder, Friday night = mechanical bull at the casino, Saturday am = all the other tables or chiropractor. Made an $85 reservation at the casino/hotel.
