Noveske Switchblock for SBR?

So im planning a 11.5" SBR build once my form 1 comes back. My question is are adjustable gas blocks like the Noveske Switchblock really necessary for a suppressed sbr to make it fully reliable? Or am I fine with a low profile gas block?

If your not going for the whole Noveske package(Their barrel & Switchblock) I would recommend a SLR adjustable gas block. It will help cut back on gas in your face and once you fine tune it to your your rifle it will probably be more reliable. This is just my opinion. I am not a gunsmith but I did stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night.

I don't think it's a reliability issue. I run a 10.5 inch Noveske CQB suppressed without the switchblock with no issues. If you want to reduce gas-in-da-face and carbon build up then go for it. I don't think it's a gimmick. Necessary? No. Cool as hell? Yes. I heard the switch gets HOT after a few rounds.. So wear gloves.
