    Gentlemen,

Let's say I was shooting at a target. Let's say it's eye level, about the size of a helmet and Powder Blue...

would you choose a red dot or a green dot for better clarity?!?

For me, red is easiest to see in daylight, especially around vegetation, and green is best at night. I prefer red for all-around.

I'm thinking a soft blue cantaloupe target would likely be taken at a distance of 250+yds. I wouldn't go for a dot optics. I'm thinking something in 6-12x40... In case it's shady on the receiving end.
