I had a 6" nickel Python about 20 years ago and got more than enough use out of it, until the timing started to go and I got rid of it. Smoothest revolver I ever pulled a trigger on.
I now have a new-in-original-box 1984 nickel 6" Python that has never been fired and never will be.
Its been brought to my attention that the scope may very well make this bugger even more of a tack driver than it normally would be... May take her for a spin as is and see how she does before I ditch the scope.
Turns out everything it came with from the factory is in the box (except sight and grips). Finish is in excellent condition. Lockup is rock solid. Cant wait till next saturday!
I carried a Colt Official Police 4", bought 1961 by MPDC, issued to me in 1973. I had oversize wood grips on it. When i carried it in a shoulder holster, citizens always thought I had a Python.
