Picked this up today at the nations gunshow. Mfg 1953, really nice shape with a perfect bore.

Check under the buttplate and you just may find the last soldier it was assigned to. Pretty damn cool.

Great buy. K31's are the cat's pajamas for match-accurate surplus rifles, and the GP-11 ammo is still widely available. Enjoy it!

That's a very nice looking rifle.

Mine could benefit from a slightly higher front sight.

Does anyone know if replacements are available?

A couple of more pics. All of the numbers match and the blue is about 98%. I think the stock has been refinished at some point because it has some type of varnish on it. it looks good though.

If you dont mind my asking, how much did you pick it up for? I passed up on one a few years ago for a little less than 3, wonder how big of a mistake that was.

Used to have six, down to one. Love it. Best milsurp out there IMO.

Yours looks like a nice one, 1953 was a very low production year. Keeper! Kind of looks like it has been refinished which isn't a big deal. Stock up on GP-11, and have fun!!

Refinished for sure but looks very nice indeed and not beaver chewed like most. Original finish would be shellac not varnish which that may be ?

I picked up 120 rounds. I wish I would have bought more since it was the same price as what I'm finding on line. $30.00 per 60 round box with no extra for tax. Pretty good deal.
