So I was offered an AR in trade for my Nightforce. I know nothing of ARs so I'm hoping to get help from AR guys on what they think is the trade value of his rifle. Build sheet is:

    magpul moe stock
    egro grip pistol grip
    noveske chainsaw lower
    barrett upper
lothar walther 16" barrel threaded 1/2x28
    troy industries alpha rail
    midlegth gas system
    RRA NM trigger

    AR.jpg

Any suggestions on what trade value it would bring? Round count is 0.

Hmm, not looking good. Nightforce is a 2.5-10X32 compact model with zerostops. I'd put trade value around $1200.

The rifle is brand new, but the scope is not. However I'm in no hurry own an AR and only need one that goes bang reliably and shoots 2 MOA (easily acheivable). So baring further opinion, I think I'll pass.

Ask him to get you an eotech or aimpoint and close the deal :)

I would ask for a noveske upper to match the lower ;)

If he put it together himself I would take it to a gunsmith to make sure it was properly assembled before I even thought about trading for/ buying it.

I ended up passing. I instead traded the scope and an M1a for a Nightforce F1 and a SWFA SS 5-20X50. Only needed one of them so I'll likely hock the other. 7 more posts and it might end up here.
