My "New" Glock 19

For the longest time I've been searching for a lightly used Glock 19 Gen 2. I've seen a few here and there but not really at the right price for the condition of the gun. That is until the Thursday before last, when I walked into the Gun Bunker in Shrewsbury, PA and laid my eyes upon this virutually new December 1989 production Austria proof marked Gen 2 Glock 19. I couldn't help but buy it and have it shipped to my FFL. Here it is with my other generation Glock 19s.

For the money, Glock Factory night sights work well. I have them on the gen2 and my Glock 20gen4. The gen3 19 has XS big dot sights which are pretty good for pulling off quick close range shots.

The 19gen4 has Trijicon HD night sights. If I could justify the cost of putting them on every gun or only had one handgun that I wanted night sights on, this is what I would use.

Great gun! I'm picking up my Gen 4 next week. Sure would have loved to have had it for the 4th-- 7 day wait with 8th day pickup--ain't MD wonderful.

I do have a Gen 2 model 23 that I'll never part with. I just don't care for the finger groove grips. They don't fit me, or a lot of people right. A Lone Wolf drop in 9mm conversion barrel and I'm good to go.
