I'm helping a friend put together his first AR. Buying stripped lowers was an eye opening experience for him.

Nope, not the worst. The worst is yet to come. Be sure to get her out and show her how to shoot before she is into boys (or girls, whatever). My daughter knows how to wield a rifle and revolver, and my philosophy with my daughter is that I am simply here to help her bury the body. And also they probably deserved it, because I remember what I was like at that age.

I intend to do just that. I started with her mom who has the fundamentals down just needs more practice. When the daughter I feel is more responsible I will teach her as well.

They do? I picked one up at a FFL in January and didn't have to do a 7 day wait, 77r, or pay 10 bucks to MSP.

No. They both had serial numbers from the manufacturers. One of them was a LE trade in gun, that was sent to a FFL. The stripped lower was sent to the FFL by the manufacturer.

You don't. It is glorious. I had a waiting period of about 5 minutes, before I walked out with my purchases. 3 minutes on the 4473 (paper one) and 2 minutes while the FFL was on the phone with NICS.
