My ADD distracted me...whats going on now?

My only purpose for having a trust would be to ensure that My wife has access to any NFA items that I do not own yet, but might plan to own in the future.
We are law abiding and squeaky clean so have no problem with any kind of check or fingerprinting or anything else. They can stick more hurdles and wickets in the way but they will be minor nuisances.

so what exactly do I have to fear from the upcoming deadline?
It seems that the CLEO signoff going away will be a good thing and if I have to submit fingerprints and pictures of both me and my wife that doesn't seem a big deal to me...

Nope, that's basically it.

For a trust, any "responsible persons" on a trust will have to get photo / fingerprinted and there's a CLEO notification form that will have to be sent, but other than that nothing else.

For individuals the CLEO signoff is replaced by the CLEO notification, but that's about it.

Processing time will likely increase during the transition. The sooner you get approved the less chance there is of the election or possible new laws preventing you from being approved.
