I'm going to stick with my 125's for hunting, get it sighted in with them and if I load heavier I'll aim high for paper.:D
Im holding out that if i only get one thing in 15 im going to get a suppressor. Therefore the reason i want to run subs. But.... i will use this for bambi wacking as well most likely with 125s

If I ever go for a suppressor I'll just build another one, I've got a few extra lowers laying around here.

I run lead bullets in my 300 Frankenrifle, 150 gn lee, either traditionally lubed or powder coated. If sorted after casting, from the bench I can keep 1 inch groups at 100 yards with no problem. I shoot these with either 16.7 of H110 or 16.5 of 4227. 4227 shoots more consistent groups.

Yesterday I tried two new loads using pulled Russian 150 gn bullets (I have had these for 10 years since I had a couple of bad batches of 7.62x54 ammo). One batch was boat tail and one was hollow base.

I used 16.5 gns of H110 on both and they fed, shot and extracted just fine. I had to load the boat tails short but it didn't seem to matter as they gave me a 1/2 inch clover leaf at 50 yards! The hollow base rounds grouped from 1 to two inches and seemed to not be made as well. They are all good for shooting paper though. ;)

Did you run them through a .308 resizing die?
