If you're a first-timer, there is good info here:

Volunteers get free admission to the show. (And there's nothing to prevent a little shopping before or after your shift.) Another thing worth mentioning, some vendors, upon seeing you have a vendor badge, will give a few $$ off a purchase. Not all vendors will do this, but it could be an added bonus for volunteers.

MSI now also has a volunteer incentive program, if you volunteer for a total of four shifts at gun shows (all day Saturday or Sunday counts as two shifts) you will get a FREE membership renewal!

Yes, that's what happens when a sleep deprived idiot (who shall remain me) tries to cut & paste but forgets to change an old date.

Carry on, and please volunteer for one of the correct dates.
ShafTed, I would like to for sure. I will figure out the time(s) I can come.
I read the "how to" of representing, and have worked various shows like Outdoorsman's show, Motorama etc for our Church's ministry. I was thinking that MSI won't be much different. To get the gist of how you guys interact with the Show-goers, I thought about possibly stopping by the booth a bit before my scheduled time and just observe and get some pointers etc.

I look forward to doing my part to fight for 2A and our country.

I do not think you have anything to worry about, especially if you have worked other shows before. I volunteered to be at the Frederick show today and it was the first time I had ever done anything like that. But ShafTed and Biggfoot44 were excellent teachers and I learned just as much as the visitors to the booth! And I had such a good time I volunteered to be at the booth next weekend as well!

    Thanks Cal68,

Glad you had a good time. I wasn't worried.
I had mentioned to Biggfoot44 that I wanted to try to come today, but I had to make progress on a job while the weather was in my favor.

I wouldn't mind volunteering on a Saturday, but I'm only off every other week. Slightly OT, but is there a current brochure around I can download? I didn't see one on the members pages. I usually talk up MSI and would like to follow up with a brochure, but can seem to find one.

Which Saturday? This week there are two, Howard County and Chantilly. Next Saturday will be the Jarrettsville Izaak Walton show.
