Whenever anybody quotes me a law I usually (politely) ask them for the chapter and verse reference. If they tell me that they "heard it around" or if they get indignant, I lend the comment less credence. When I post here what I beleive to be a law, I try to provide a link to the source material for the same reason. Just like what I taught my kids; When somebody in a commercial quotes statistics, the first questin is " what study "and the next question is " who paid for the study" Trust but verify.
