Don't know if this is a dupe but all these folks seem interested in running for AG.....imagine that!!!!

Some of them make it sound like armed vigilantes would be roaming the streets looking for a lawbreaker to shoot if we had a SYG law.

How does following someone for 90 seconds constitute provocation? Zimmerman followed him and when the dispatcher told him to turn around he did and started to go back to his car. Martin then followed Zimmerman and proceeded to attack him despite that he had stopped following him.

And as for stand your ground laws, the Zimmerman side didn’t even use that law for their defense. The decision was based on self defense laws and stand your ground was never even used.

Hopefully Maryland’s G&S infringements will be overturned in the 2014 Supreme Court decisions and we can start to watch Maryland’s murder rate go down as criminals begin to fear citizens instead of the other way around.

They're all idiots. Retreat while someone is sitting on top of you. Yeah, right. I like how they all like to make hypothetical analysis about a case in where you may fear for your safety and life. If I had my kids or wife with me, I am not retreating and risking their injury during a hurried escape or the chance of them being left for the criminal. I myself could fall and injure myself. Also, if you're not in a familiar place, who is to say where you retreat to is a place of safety? All a bunch of BS. Why should a victim have the requirement to allow a criminal their "space" or the chance to continue on their way? I can't stand this state!

Looking for suspicious people is what Neighborhood watch people do. The kid was wandering around in the rain, looking in windows.
Martin had to option to call 911. Instead, he choose to assault Zimmerman.
If Zimmerman didn't have a gun, he would have been in the hospital or dead, and Martin would have been guilty of assault or murder.
