Maryland: Mayors who are members of MAIG

I’m horrified that a mayor from Western Maryland is on the list.

I'm horrified that I went to high school with a mayor from Western Maryland, and that he was a year or two younger than I. B^/

I've read that some mayors are surprised to learn that they are members, they don't know how they got on the list.

Others really do believe that MAIG's only interest is stopping illegal guns and quickly leave when they start getting letters and phone calls. Not sure if they're still able to do that given that they're higher profile now.

MAIG has also been unwilling to remove those who disavow affiliation with the group. I think Bloomberg himself commented to the effect that he'll keep them on since they obviously support MAIG's goals, but the NRA bullied them into leaving.

This. Don't assume that simple because a mayor is listed as a member that their politics line up with MAIG's. politely ask them about it first, confirm that they knew about it, and then unleash Hell upon them only if they knew it and wanted to be there.

The Eastern Shore mayors should be pretty easy to unseat, as well as the Cumberland mayor, if this information is made public and blasted far & wide.

Not true, we tried to unseat Jackson- Stanley but there is a footing within the "low information voter" base here

Margo Bailey in Chestertown is not going to run again, after a long run as Mayor. Chestertown is a liberal Dem stronghold by the way. A lot of limosine liberal come-here's to retire dominate all conversation there. The town, and Kent County, are dying. The Kent school system is the worst in the State.

Cambridge is a black Dem party line town. Think Baltimore city with less money and no clout.
