Marlin model 60 scope recommendations

Hi, I purchased a Marlin model 60 about 15 years ago which came with a cheap Tasco scope. With iron sights, it is very accurate. With the scope, sometimes it works ok, but mostly it's a PIA for various reasons. This weekend, the cross hairs became canted, which is a new development.
Just curious if anyone here has a recommendation of a decent (not high end scope, bases, etc.) That I could install and get reasonable results.

I have a Simmons 22mag scope I really like.

For a Model 60, keep it simple. 4x. If you want to shoot accurately, use the same quality ammo consistently. Since the run, it's harder to find at a decent price, but CCI Stinger will cycle the semis and drive tacks at 50 yds.
