I have a Marlin 60 I want to list in the classifieds here...but the prices online are all over the place - I have no clue what I should list it at. I have seen everything from $100-300.

It's a stainless and walnut. 14+1. I added a NC Star 3-9x40 silver scope on top.

What is a good price to list at. I would rather someone else get use from this since it is sitting in gun cabinet never used. It was given to me NEW and I fired about 15 rounds to sight the scope. Hasn't been used since.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The rifle can be found new for $240, $30 for the scope.

The stainless rifles will always be worth more than the blued ones ... which can be found for even less than $100

Seems like something in the $150 to low $200 range would be fair, someone who would pay $300 would probably not legally qualify.

    Remington/Marlin or pre-Rem Marlin??

Must be honest, do not know. It simply says Marlin Firearms, New Haven, CT on the barrel.

It doesn't look to be very old...maybe a few years. It was given to me NIB.

The rifle can be found new for $240, $30 for the scope.

Pain in my ass lol. I paid $50 new for the scope lol.

So would $200 be fair? Or should I go lower?

I think Mark has pretty much nailed the price range.

I can't comment on pricing, my 30+ y.o. Model 60 cost less than $30 when new. I got it for free, passed down to me. :)

ETA: I feel $200 would be fair.

OK, thanks gents. I don't want to overcharge. I just never use it and I'm sure someone out there would like to get some use from it. I feel bad it only has a handful of rounds through it.

    Christmas Karma??? :innocent0

It was going to be actually. I originally wanted to do that but Wifey said she wanted to sell it. Since I gave it to her...I have to do what she wishes.

I should also ask - is this legal for FTF? I am sure it is...but I would hate to break the law:party29:

You might still get the chance... someone pointed out I need to be an MD resident. Technically I still have a valid MD license as IL never processed mine through the system. I called a few weeks back and the lady said I still show living in MD.

This means I can sell a weapon in MD, correct?

$200 sounds very reasonable as they sell the stainless model scoped at Wallyworld for $227 new. Great little rifles, good luck with sale.
