The purist will curse you but I like it. I wouldnt wanna do it to correct a grade rifle but to a mix master special why not. Depending on what I recieve from the cmp on my recent order I may actually look into this.

You are going to get some hate.

I'm a fan of your rifle, your money, do whatever you want.

Not the route I would have taken.....

No hate from me...OP didn't do anything which cannot be undone.

But agree with Z/28...getting a nice used M-1A would probably have been cheaper...

    Color fill? Zombie ammo?
A rifle without glass is a challenge for my eyes these days too.
I like it, let us know how the thread job turns out!

The germans? Oh yeah, that's right, they did bomb Pearl Harbor.
Yes, I did attend public school, both Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County.

Why didn't you just get a Mosin? They're inexpensive, the choice of Soviet snipers, accurate to a million yards...

I'm an M1 purist. And love what you did! Honestly i thought about doing a synthetic stock on my Garand for camping trips so I don't hurt the wood. Yours looks great. Any links to where I can get a stock like that?
