I'm not expert shooter so I can't talk about groupings etc etc.

I finally got my hands on my M&P 15-22. Grabbed some Winchester 333 and went to the range.

I put about approx 150rds through the gun. :party29: I think I got two FTF, but I'm pretty sure it was due to my bad loading of the magazine. Not used to handling those little .22 rounds.

The gun was accurate, smooth, and so much fun to shoot. Not sure what else to say.

I bought one of these sights. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W4BQ7K/ref=oss_product

But I'm such a newb I don't know where to mount it on the gun, I know where but I don't know how far forward or backwards. Is it just based on preference (i.e. best distance for my viewing)? Also do I need to remove any of the factory fixed sights?

you dont need to remove your buis, put the red dot on just in front of the rear sight and you should be good to go
