Going to purchase a 1911. Ruger, Sig or Colt. Leaning towards Colt.
Does anyone know of a shop that might stock a few to do a side by side comparison. Probably go stainless with the Ruger or Sig. Colt, not sure.

Going to be one of the three. I like features of all. Any opinions would be great as well.

    Thanks

HOw can anyone talk 1911's and not mention Lou at Shooters discount.

He's a 1911 user so that guides what he sells and why my collection keeps growing....

Yeah I was in his shop 12/6 and I know he had a Ruger plus a number of other 1911's in the showcase. A Springfield caught my eye also.

    Where they send me.
Baltimore's Best Pawn near Finksburg has a High Standard on sale now, $400 (see listing on the forum) if you want a nice starter pistol. Or, a nicely done RIA 9mm 1911 for a bit more.

Really worth a look if you want basic.

They also had other 1911's in stock but I don't recall the makers. Springfield and Kimber IIRC at least.

Freestate has a bunch including the Colt CQBP which I looked at the other week. I really like my Springfield TRP though.
