I have my MD wear-and-carry permit. So does my sister. We don't reside in the same household. She's interested in one of my recent purchases, and may want one for herself. Could I legally loan her the handgun, and would she be within her rights (as currently applicable Maryland law sees them) to carry it to see how she likes it?

Yes (This has been asked and answered numerous times in the last 10 years)

Yes (This has been asked and answered numerous times in the last 10 years)

    The search function works here.

Legally in MD you can loan a handgun to anyone that you can presume to not be prohibited, they do not even need to have an HQL or W&C permit.

I lend handguns to people all the time. About 2 months ago, a total of 5 people had guns of mine all at once.

The last 10 years is meaningless when MD just increased restrictions in the last 3 months. And I tried the search. Nothing came up that answered my question, not for the last 10 years and certainly not the last 3 months. No need to be snarky if you're also going to miss the point entirely.

    I agree 100%
What was legal in MD last month may be "Straight to jail" this month.

AND the "Search Function" on MDS is beyond worthless,

Came up as the 5th item in a search (Loan a firearm to family member)
And it's from a little over a year ago (within the last 3 years)

Like I said, this has been asked and answered many times.

And NO, the last 10 years is NOT meaningless since the law hasn't changed. Nice try at moving the goal posts though.

BGOS much? If it isn't in State Statute, it isn't law.

I found an answer in the first 5 items that came up with a search, maybe you just suck at searching </sarc>

Not at all, I don't spend my days/hours pouring over laws, regulations, case history, MSP making $hit up out of thin air, etc.

Maybe the OP should just do whatever and hope for the best? If he is white and a tax payer,, he has every right to be highly concerned.
